Studying poetry requires reading and listening to the poems many times.

Play the audio and listen to the poem as it is read for you and follow along. Do this several times, checking on word meanings as you listen and read using the double-click function.

  • Studying poetry is a process you either enjoy or not. When you enjoy it your understanding of English, the world and yourself deepen very much.

 

  • Each poem is here in two forms. One with just the poem as it was written by the poet and one with helpful hints in red about the line's meaning.
